This infection can develop diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. Most people recover without treatment, however, in some instances, the diarrhea can be so severe that the patients are hospitalized.
Salmonella typhi causes typhoid fever. It causes symptoms of fever, severe headaches, nausea, and loss of appetite. Other characteristics that can arise are: diarrhea, enlargement of the spleen, and the possible enlargement of the spleen.
This bacterium causes shigellosis, with shigella sonnei. It causes diarrhea and dysentery in humans. It can also cause symptoms of fever and stomach cramps.
